Measuring Your Brain Injury...

After living with a traumatic brain injury for some 39 years, speaking with others and reading as much as I can about this life changing condition I have developed the following methods to measure my health experiences, and sense of self and person.

The following is a hybrid system based partly on the Fujita-scale.  These Include the following data points are ... a.  Anger, b. communication,  c. emotion d. fatigue,
e. headaches f. health g. memory;

a.  Anger: (Anger expressed appropriately is important and healthy.)
0 = Balanced. 1 = Normal, 2 = above normal, 3 = need balancing
4 = affecting others, 5 = requires major intervention.

b.  communication: This includes social misunderstanding and missed ques.
0 = balanced, 1 = normal, 2 = above normal, 3 = needs balancing
4 = affects others, 5 = requires major intervention.

c.  emotional stability: This includes anxiety, depression and other issues.
0 = balanced, 1 = normal, 2 = above normal, 3 = needs balancing
4 = effects are difficult to manage, 5 = requires major medical intervention.

d.  fatigue: This includes stamina issues and tiredness ...
0 = balanced, 1 = normal, 2 = above normal, 3 = needs balancing
4 = effects are difficult to manage, 5 = requires major medical intervention.

e. headaches: This includes minor aches to major cluster migraines  ...
0 = balanced, 1 = normal, 2 = above normal, 3 = needs balancing
4 = effects are difficult to manage, 5 = requires major medical intervention.

f.  General health:  This includes all associated issues related to welbeing ...
0 = balanced, 1 = normal, 2 = above normal, 3 = needs balancing
4 = effects are difficult to manage, 5 = requires major medical intervention.

g.  Memory:  there are many variations on this issue but generally...
0 = balanced, 1 = normal, 2 = above normal, 3 = needs balancing
4 = effects are difficult to manage, 5 = requires major medical intervention.

So when these measurements are added together we get a range of measurements that provide us with a reasonably accurate assessment of out current health.

0 = Balanced
7 = Normal
8 to 16 = slightly above normal
17 to 21 = needs balancing
22 to 28 = health issues requiring management
29 to 35 = major health intervention.

Depending on the predominant issues from A. to G. we can assess which health features in particular are creating a problem.

    Hi my name is Adam and this is my website... The New Protocols are a set of guidelines I have used to overcome the many adversities that I faced for most of my Life.  At the age of 18 I fell 12.9 metres through steel head first into a concrete floor (about 5 floors.... I also suffered mental and physical abuse from childhood which along with a major head injury returned as depression and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder...
